My passion outside of work is competing in pageants. I’ve been working at the Snooze Mothership in Denver, CO for over 6 months as a Talent Aquisition Manager. Pride Month means the world to me because even though I can celebrate myself all year long, Pride is a time to remind everyone and ourselves that love is love, that it’s great to be different, and that our community can be stronger together. I spent a lot of time perfecting my craft from YouTube videos and was able to show people my art expression through social media. I watched RuPaul’s Drag Race and was inspired to use my painting skills to express myself through makeup. In that moment I was accepted, welcomed, and cared for by the incredible LGBTQ+ community. The same year that I moved to the United States, I attended my first Pride Parade. I wasn’t surrounded or introduced to the LGBTQ community until I moved to the United States in 2015. Growing up in Mexico, I would always express myself through painting. A place where I can express who I really am, without judgement. My favorite part about working at Snooze is that I know it’s a safe space where I can work and be myself. If I could share some words of encouragement to young people in the LGBTQ community, it would be to embrace your uniqueness.Īs I continue to navigate my own journey, I hope that my story can bring inspiration to people in the LGBTQ+ community who may be struggling to find their voice and their place in the world – just know that you’re not alone. I felt so much support from the TikTok community knowing that there were people out there going through the same thing as me. I came out when I was 30 years old, after being in a 10-year Hetero marriage.Since my divorce, I changed career paths and moved to Denver for a fresh start in my life. June is Pride month, and I’m celebrating as someone who is new to the LGBTQ+ community. I feel lucky to work with such an amazing group of people. My favorite thing about working here is the overall atmosphere. I likely wouldn’t try this venue any Snooze again as there are many other brunch spots that surely would be better than this.I’ve been working at Snooze Ballpark for over 9 months after moving from Florida to Denver, Colorado. So I had to pick up the toast to eat it with egg smothered all over. The ciabatta tiny toast it was served on was hard as a rock and the basic butter knives (the only type they have) couldn’t cut through it. I ordered the Bella Bella Benny which was okay, but the arugula had some yellowed leaves that made me think it was getting old and closer to expiration. My sister described her French toast as “nothing special”. The descriptions all sounded great, but they came up short. When you pay more for a sit-down breakfast that is not fast food, you expect something a little more. It did the job to get us fed, and nothing was “bad” but nothing super special either. We had to ask other wait staff for refills because he was unable to do his job and observe we were dry on water and coffee. He approached the table and had to go back for a notepad for the order. Way too laid back for a waiter who needs to be keeping an eye on drinks and ensuring the table is accommodated. wait list as other tables were sat prior to our group even though we were #1 on the wait list. The wait staff didn’t seem to know how to manage walk-ins and the ones on the. There were dirty vacant tables at 8am Mother’s Day morning that sat empty for over 30 minutes. It seems they didn’t have enough bus staff.
